MOSCOW, March 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said Sunday that the global economy and energy markets have experienced a major shock and will require several months to return to their pre-conflict levels prior to the escalation in the Middle East.
Speaking at a press conference, Novak said the world has experienced a significant shock and that overcoming its repercussions will take at least several months, even after the conflict ends.
He stressed that the war has inflicted severe damage on the global economy and regional geopolitics, stressing that these effects are unlikely to be short-term and will instead have a lasting impact.
