TEHRAN-TEL AVIV, March 24, 2026 (WAFA) – The Israeli-American war on Iran entered its 25th day amidst escalating military exchanges and airstrikes targeting several Iranian cities, in response to Iranian missile launches toward Israel.
Early Tuesday morning, Iran launched missile attacks on wide areas in Israel, triggering sirens in several cities and prompting a state of alert.
Sirens sounded in various areas, including central and southern Israel, occupied Jerusalem, Dimona, Eilat, and large areas in the south, following the detection of Iranian missiles and drones.
According to Israeli media, six Israelis were injured, and significant damage was inflicted on a number of buildings and vehicles near the site of a missile explosion targeting Tel Aviv. The missile carried a fragmentation warhead from which three or four bomblets, each weighing approximately 100 kilograms, were launched. According to Israel's Channel 12, at least three buildings in Tel Aviv were destroyed by shrapnel from Iranian missiles.
In Iran, explosions were heard in Tehran, and two gas facilities in Isfahan and Khorramshahr were targeted, causing damage to parts of the facilities and nearby homes.
The Israeli military announced it had carried out an unprecedented wave of airstrikes deep inside Tehran, involving dozens of fighter jets and dropping more than 100 bombs. These strikes targeted strategic facilities for the production of ballistic and naval missiles and warheads, as well as military research centers.
According to the Semaphore news website, citing a US official, the United States will continue its strikes on Iran, with the five-day pause in attacks limited to energy sites in Tehran.
Regarding the economic repercussions of the war, the price of oil rose to $104, with renewed pressure on US Treasury bonds. US crude oil futures also rose to $89.19.
