WASHINGTON, August 18, 2026 (WAFA) — Democratic Minority Leader in the US House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries called on President Donald Trump's administration to take action against Israeli colonists besieging Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank.
Jeffries made the remarks in a post on Tuesday on X concerning the situation in the occupied West Bank.
Jeffries described the siege of Palestinian homes by "violent and lawless" Israelis as "unacceptable."
"The Trump administration must compel the Israeli government to protect the lives, property and livelihoods of innocent Palestinian civilians," he said.
