JEDDAH, February 21, 2026 (WAFA) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the dangerous and irresponsible statements made by US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, describing them as a rejected call for Israeli expansion, occupation, and seizure of additional Palestinian and Arab lands.
It said the remarks were based on false historical and ideological claims that violate the sovereignty of states, diplomatic norms, international law, and United Nations resolutions and charter.
In a statement released Saturday evening, the OIC warned that this extremist ideological rhetoric could fuel extremism and encourage Israel to continue its illegal actions, including displacement, settlement expansion, annexation, and attempts to impose control over occupied Palestinian territories, threatening security and stability across the region.
The organization reaffirmed its unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
