JERICHO, February 3, 2026 (WAFA) — Six Palestinians were injured on Tuesday evening during an incursion by Israeli occupation forces into the city of Jericho, east of the occupied West Bank.
According to WAFA correspondent, three young men were shot with live ammunition during confrontations that erupted as Israeli forces stormed the city, while a woman was injured after being run over by an Israeli military vehicle.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medical teams treated two young men who were beaten by Israeli soldiers during confrontations in the Katf al-Wad neighborhood in Jericho, providing them with first aid on the spot.
The correspondent added that Israeli forces also raided a house on Palestine Street in the city center and assaulted the residents, leading to the injuries of the two young men.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in line with its broad and arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
