JERUSALEM, January 27, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian teenager was injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire on Tuesday evening in Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its crews dealt with the injury of a 13-year-old minor who was shot with live ammunition in the leg during the occupation’s raid on Qalandia camp, and transferred him to the hospital.
The occupation forces today continued their aggression for the second consecutive day against the town of Kafr Aqab and Qalandia refugee camp, carrying out extensive demolition and removal operations of dozens of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure, under the pretext of lacking Israeli-issued permits and so-called “security” claims, as part of the ongoing policy of tightening restrictions on Palestinian citizens.
The Jerusalem Governorate said the number of structures demolished by the occupation until this morning reached about 40, including shops, commercial facilities, fences, stalls, signs, and tin structures, with most demolition operations concentrated in the Airport (Al-Matar) Road area.
It added that the demolition operations coincided with the continued intensive military presence in the town, with additional reinforcements being deployed, alongside occupation machinery carrying out earthworks adjacent to the separation wall, in an effort to impose a new fait accompli.
It continued that these measures, as appears on the ground, aim to establish a buffer zone alongside the wall, where the occupation claims that its operations come in light of what it calls increased attempts by Palestinian workers to enter through the wall, using these claims to justify demolition, earthworks, and enhanced control.
