NEW YORK, January 25, 2026 (WAFA) – A scheduled performance by Israeli comedian and former soldier Guy Hochman at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York City was canceled after protesters blocked audience members from entering the venue, in protest of his involvement in the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Rights and community organizations supporting the Palestinian cause said New York City refuses to host supporters of war crimes committed against Gaza.

The cancellation came days after Hochman was detained for several hours at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada following a legal complaint filed by the Hind Rajab Foundation, accusing him of committing war crimes and incitement to genocide.
