DAVOS, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed today with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty the latest developments concerning efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as regional and international moves to rebuild the enclave in coordination with international partners.
The talks took place on Wednesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, in the presence of Palestine’s ambassador to Switzerland and the United Nations in Geneva, Ibrahim Khraishi.
Mustafa also reviewed developments in the West Bank amid continued Israeli military incursions into Palestinian areas, settler attacks, restrictions on the movement of citizens and goods, and the ongoing withholding of Palestinian tax revenues.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s firm rejection of any displacement of Palestinians from their land, stressing the need to safeguard the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and to intensify efforts to create the necessary political horizon for the realization of an independent Palestinian state.
Both sides agreed to continue close coordination and to update joint plans to ensure a rapid response to relief efforts, economic recovery, and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, in a way that helps thwart displacement schemes and strengthens the resilience of the Palestinian people.
