JERUSALEM, December 20, 2025 (WAFA) — Palestinian Olympic swimmer Valerie Tarazi has been nominated for the Favorite Athlete award at the annual JOY Awards ceremony held in Saudi Arabia, which honors outstanding figures in sports, art, and music.
Winners are selected through public voting via the JOY Awards app, allowing fans to choose from among the nominated personalities to receive the award during the annual ceremony.
The Favorite Athlete award recognizes female athletes who have achieved notable accomplishments during the sporting season through their participation in regional, continental, and international competitions.
Tarazi shone at the recent Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November, where she won a bronze medal. Her medal was one of five earned by Palestine during the event.
