RAMALLAH, December 17, 2025 (WAFA) – The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs documented, following a visit by its legal team, the serious medical condition of a prisoner suffering from systematic medical neglect in Israeli detention centers, adding to the record of violations against ill detainees.
In a statement, the Commission reported that prisoner Fadi Odeh, 41, from Tulkarm Governorate, has been detained since 2023 and is suffering complete paralysis on the right side of his body due to previous injuries. His health condition has deteriorated dangerously, with widespread ulcers across his body, while he has received no necessary treatment or medication.
The Commission emphasized that Odeh urgently needs a permanent wheelchair, especially for using the toilet, and medical bags due to his inability to move continuously. He is currently receiving no basic healthcare.
It also pointed out that Odeh is suffering from severe weight loss, reflecting the extent of the deliberate medical neglect that poses a real and immediate threat to his life.
