RAMALLAH, October 15, 2026 (WAFA) — Khaled Quzmar, executive director of the Palestinian Center for Child Rights, warned of deteriorating conditions for Palestinian children held in Israeli occupation prisons, amid reports documenting torture, starvation and medical neglect, as human rights organizations face difficulties accessing prisons to assess their conditions.
Speaking to Voice of Palestine on Thursday, Quzmar said Israeli occupation forces had detained more than 2,000 children since the start of the genocidal war, with at least 350 children still being held.
He also warned of the impact of escalating attacks by Israeli colonists and occupation forces on children, particularly during the olive harvest season, as Palestinians are prevented from reaching their lands and exposed to threats and violence.
