DUBAI, December 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian architect Suad Amiry won the 2025 Great Arab Minds Award in the Architecture and Design category in recognition of her extensive contributions to preserving Palestinian architectural heritage.

Amiry is the founder of Riwaq – Centre for Architectural Conservation. She has made pioneering contributions to safeguarding Palestinian architectural heritage, restoring historical buildings, and repurposing them in a way that reinforces the urban identity.

Amiry also participated in one of the largest architectural documentation projects in Palestine, which resulted in a register containing more than 50,000 historical buildings and the revitalization of 50 historic centers.

She involved local residents and craftsmen in her projects to restore villages, by using traditional materials in the construction.
