Palestine U14 girls finish third at West Asia championship

JEDDAH, December 13, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestine under-14 girls national team claimed third place on Saturday evening at the third West Asia Football Federation (WAFF) U14 girls' championship.

Palestine secured the bronze medal after defeating hosts Saudi Arabia in the third-place playoff via a penalty shootout, 9–8, following a 1–1 draw at the end of regular time. The match was played at King Abdulaziz University Stadium in Jeddah.

The final, also held at the same venue, will bring together Lebanon and Jordan to conclude the tournament.

Lebanon advanced to the final after defeating Palestine, who had topped their group, by a score of 2–1. Jordan booked their place in the final by overcoming Saudi Arabia 1–0.

Now in its third edition, the championship continues to highlight its core mission of supporting young age groups and giving players the opportunity to compete in official matches that help develop talent and build a strong foundation for future national teams.

Syria won the second edition of the championship, held in Jordan in 2023, while Jordan claimed the title of the inaugural edition hosted by Lebanon in 2022.
