RAMALLAH, December 10, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the country will be affected today by a low-pressure front accompanied by a cold air mass. A significant drop in temperatures is expected, with rain showers falling across most areas of the country. These showers may be heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, brisk with occasional strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves will be high.
During the evening and night, the weather will be cloudy and cold, especially over the mountainous areas. Rain showers are expected across most areas of the country, becoming heavy at times and accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, brisk with occasional strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves will be high.
On Thursday, the low-pressure system will intensify its impact on the country, bringing a significant drop in temperatures. The weather will be cold, rainy, and windy, with rain falling across all regions. The rain will be heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be active, blowing from the southwest to west, with strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. Sea waves will be high.
While on Friday, the country will remain under the influence of the low-pressure front. Temperatures will rise slightly, but the weather will remain cold, rainy, and windy. Rain will fall, becoming heavy across all regions, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. Winds will be from the southwest to west, with strong gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h. The sea will be rough.
As for Saturday, the low-pressure front will begin to gradually weaken, and temperatures will rise again, though the weather will remain cool and partly to mostly cloudy. There is still a chance of scattered rain in some areas of the country. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, and the sea will be moderately rough.
During the period of the low-pressure front's impact on the country on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the PMD warned of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, slippery roads, reduced horizontal visibility, and strong winds.
