RAMALLAH, June 28, 2026 (WAFA) – The Jerusalem Water Undertaking announced on Sunday the suspension of water pumping to the main Ramallah station following a break in the main supply line.
In a brief statement, the undertaking said that the Israeli water company Mekorot had informed it of the temporary halt in pumping due to a rupture in the main pipeline feeding the station.
It noted that most areas within its service jurisdiction will be affected by the water distribution schedule until pumping resumes, stressing that the situation is beyond its control and calling for public understanding and cooperation.
The undertaking urged residents to rationalize water consumption to help ensure water reaches the largest possible number of citizens.
It added that crews will resume normal distribution once pumping is restored, and that updates will be provided to subscribers as developments occur.
