RAMALLAH, December 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Both Palestine and Syria secured their places in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup after playing out a goalless draw in Sunday’s final round of Group A fixtures.
The result leaves the two teams level on five points, though Palestine finish top of the group thanks to a superior goals-scored tally.
With the match ending 0–0 and the sides equal on overall goal difference, goals scored became the deciding factor.
Palestine opened their campaign with a 1–0 victory over Qatar and followed it with a 2–2 draw against Tunisia. Syria, meanwhile, defeated Tunisia 1–0 before being held to a 1–1 draw by Qatar.
