UN Human Rights Office urges pressure on Israel to end attacks on Gaza

NEW YORK, December 5, 2025 (WAFA) – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights spokesperson Thameen Al-Kheetan called for increased international pressure on Israel to halt its ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement today, Al-Kheetan emphasized the urgent need to respect ceasefire agreements in Gaza, Lebanon, and all other regions, stressing the importance of upholding international human rights law and international humanitarian law.

"Since the ceasefire in Gaza, the killing of Palestinians has continue," Al-Kheetan said. He underscored that "all nations must work tirelessly to put an end to these violations and crimes under international law in Gaza."

Al-Kheetan also called on all those with influence to use their power to pressure the Israeli government to end the war in Gaza, implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice, end the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, halt the ongoing violations, and hold those responsible accountable.
