MOSCOW, December 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin reaffirmed on Thursday his country’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state remains a central pillar of Moscow’s Middle East policy.

Vershinin said in a press statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry that Moscow continues to play an active role in efforts to achieve regional stability by supporting diplomatic tracks and coordinating positions with international partners to prevent further escalation in the region.
