JERUSALEM, November 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked Palestinian shepherds near Anata town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to Jerusalem Governorate.
It said that colonists hurled stones at shepherds along with their sheep in the Abu Ghalyeh and al-‘Ara‘rah Bedouin communities near the town, and forced them out of the pastures, without resulting in any casualties.
It pointed out that this assault forms an integral part of Israel’s systematic policy aimed at cutting off the sources of livelihood of Palestinian Bedouins, and forcing them to leave as a prelude to takeover their lands for colonial settlement expansion.
Meanwhile, colonists attacked several civilians’ houses in al-Jab‘a village, southwest of Bethlehem.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
