JERUSALEM, October 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces seized a truck belonging to Palestinian resident Naim Hassan Ghaith from the village of Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem, after stopping it near a main road.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that an Israeli military force raided the area and seized the truck, used by Gheith to transport construction materials, was his family’s sole source of income.
The troops summoned a military crane to lift the truck and transport it to an unknown location, amid tension and objections from residents who were prevented from approaching.
Residents indicated that the seizure of the truck deprives Ghaith of his only job, which provides his family with daily sustenance. This is especially true given his difficult living conditions in a village surrounded by the Apartheid Wall and military checkpoints, where strict restrictions are imposed on the movement of goods and construction materials.
The village of Beit Iksa, home to approximately 2,000 people, is subjected to ongoing attacks by the occupation authorities, including restrictions on construction, the seizure of vehicles and machinery, attempts to seize agricultural land, and restrictions on urban expansion. Residents believe these measures are part of a systematic policy to isolate the village and forcibly displace its residents.
The residents asserted that the occupation is attempting to strangle the village economically and socially by targeting its sources of livelihood and imposing collective punishment. They emphasized that these policies will not deter them from remaining and persevering on their land despite all Israeli practices.
