Israeli colonists cut down hundreds of olive and almond trees in Hebron-area village

RAMALLAH, October 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists cut down more than 200 olive trees and more than 100 fruitful almond trees in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Hebron.

Issa Muhammad Shalalda, a local civilian, told WAFA correspondent that a group of Israeli colonists from the illegal colonies of Asfar and Kodufim, built on the town's lands, cut down the trees with electric saws in the Umm al-Batm area of Wadi Sa'ir, completely destroying them. The trees belonged to him and his brother, Izzat.

Just last month, colonists from the same two colonies set fire to dozens of dunams of land planted with grapevines, olives, and almond trees last month, as part of a series of ongoing attacks aimed at displacing residents from their lands for the benefit of colonial expansion.
