HEBRON, September 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians on Tuesday sustained injuries from Israeli army fire in the Halhul town, north of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to medical sources at Al-Ahli Hospital.
They said that two Palestinian civilians were admitted to the hospital in moderate condition, one for gunshot injuries in the abdomen and foot and the other for gunshot injuries in the foot.
According to security sources, Israeli occupying forces stormed the town and fired barrages of live ammunition and tear gas canisters towards the inhabitants, resulting in at least two gunshot injuries and causing several others to suffocate.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces set up checkpoints at the entrances of Dura, south of Hebron, before the soldiers stormed the city and briefly held several vehicles and passengers.
They conducted a similar raid in Beit Awwa town, where the gun-toting soldiers assaulted passerby and seized positions on the rooftops of houses.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
