Israeli forces turn residential building into military outpost near Nablus

NABLUS, July 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, on Tuesday morning. They seized a three-story residential building belonging to the Najib al-Malah family and transformed it into a military barracks after raising the Israeli flag on its roof.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces deployed around the building, while soldiers set up a military checkpoint on Khallet Zeina Road, the only remaining exit to the village, after closing the main entrance and all secondary roads leading to it.

Israeli occupation soldiers began searching vehicles and checking citizens' ID cards, obstructing their movement and creating tension among residents.

This raid comes amid ongoing escalation in villages and towns south of Nablus, as part of the occupation's policy aimed at imposing military control and tightening the noose on Palestinian communities.
