GAZA, January 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have continued heavy airstrikes across various parts of the Gaza Strip since the early hours of Sunday, raising the death toll to 11 Palestinians and leaving dozens more injured.

According to medical sources, 11 people were killed in the ongoing attacks on the areas of Beit Lahiya, Gaza City, and Al-Bureij, with numerous others sustaining injuries. Violent shelling is currently taking place in Beit Hanoun and other areas in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that paramedic Maha Wafi was injured in the hand when Israeli forces targeted an ambulance as it was en route to evacuate the wounded in central Khan Younis. The vehicle was also damaged in the attack.

In addition, the area surrounding Al-Quds Hospital is currently under fire, with Israeli forces continuing to target locations near medical facilities, further endangering civilians and healthcare workers.

This escalation comes despite a ceasefire agreement that was scheduled to go into effect at 8:30 AM today. However, Israeli authorities have delayed the ceasefire, stating it will not take effect until the list of female prisoners designated for release is handed over.
