BETHLEHEM, September 1, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists on Tuesday stole an iron gate, a water pump, and three water tanks in Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
They told WAFA that colonists stormed the area and attacked a Palestinian’s home, dislodging and stealing its main gate along with a water pump and three water tanks.
They added that the assailants scattered nails and screws along the main road in an attempt to puncture vehicle tires.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
