GAZA, January 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement set to take effect Sunday, Israeli forces continued their onslaught on Gaza early Friday morning, resulting in the killing and wounding of dozens of civilians.
According to local reports, nine civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a home near the Sultan patrol station in Jabalia in northern Gaza. The victims were the mother, sons and grandchildren of journalist Amer Sultan's family.

Two young men were also killed in an Israeli bombing that struck a tent sheltering displaced people west of Khan Yunis.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli forces targeted a tent belonging to the Ali family in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp, killing one resident. Another civilian succumbed to injuries sustained days earlier in an Israeli drone attack near Salah al-Din Street in the south.
Israeli forces continued to target various locations across Gaza, with the latest attacks targeting Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, with three separate air raids.
Since the onset of the Israeli military aggression on October 7, 2023, Gaza has faced relentless bombardment by air, sea, and land, resulting in the killing of 46,788 Palestinians and the wounding of 110,453 others.
Thousands remain trapped under rubble or stranded on roads, inaccessible to rescue and medical teams amid the ongoing attacks.
