SALFIT, December 19, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened siege on the village of Marda, north of Salfit, on Thursday morning.
Local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces were stationed at the western entrance to the village, which is the only outlet for the villagers, and barred peoplefrom entering or leaving it, which prevented employees and workers from going to their workplaces, noting that the eastern entrance to the village has been closed with an iron gate for several months.
The occupation forces stormed the village yesterday evening, forced shop owners to close their shops, prevented citizens from moving, raided several homes, searched them, detained a number of civilians and assaulted them.
The village of Marda is subjected to repeated attacks by the occupation forces, which include closing the entrances to the village, storming and searching citizens' homes and assaulting them.
