Israeli forces detain more than 50 Palestinians, subject them to field investigation near Hebron

HEBRON, December 19, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained at dawn today three Palestinians from the towns of Halhul and Sa'ir, and detained more than 50 others and subjected them to field investigation in the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron.

Security sources told WAFA that the occupation forces raided the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, and detained Ihsan Hassan Karajah and his son Suhaib, and then detained Raed Jabarin from the town of Sa'ir, east of Hebron, and inspected the homes of the detainees and ransacked their contents.

The director of the Beit Awwa municipality, Mohammad Al-Masalma, said that the occupation forces stormed the town, and detained more than 50 people, most of whom were released detainees, and subjected them to field investigation, and released them after detaining them for hours.

Additionally, the occupation forces continued to close the entrances to the towns and camps of the Hebron Governorate and its city with iron gates, and intensified punitive measures in the neighborhoods of the old town and at the military checkpoints leading to the Ibrahimi Mosque.
