QALQILYA, December 10, 2024 (WAFA) –  Two Palestinian young men were moderately injured on Tuesday after being attacked by occupation soldiers during a raid on the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and a search of several homes and facilities.

Local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces assaulted Ayman Nizam Abu Haniya and Mohammad Amjad Hawari, after raiding and searching their homes and tampering with their contents, which resulted in them sustaining bruises.

The same sources added that the occupation forces detained a number of the town's residents and conducted a field investigation with them in the home of local resident Mohammad Suleiman, which they turned into a military barracks, before releasing them.

They indicated that the occupation forces raided a number of homes.

The occupation forces raided a commercial store owned by local resident Sameh Omran, a car garage owned by resident Mahmoud Hawari, a carpentry shop, building materials stores, a shayesh, and tiles, in the eastern neighborhood.

The sources explained that the raid included various neighborhoods of the town.

They indicated that the occupation forces closed the southern and western entrances to the town, and hindered the movement of citizens, noting that the closure of the eastern entrance to the village with an iron gate has continued since October 7, 2023.
