HEBRON, July 13, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli forces on Monday began bulldozing work to widen the road linking the towns of Idhna and Dura, southwest of Hebron, to serve the Tarusa colony, which Israel recently began establishing on Palestinian land and property in the area.
Local sources said that Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers and heavy machinery, began widening the road from Khirbet Suba through Khirbet Humsa, along a stretch of approximately eight kilometers.
Abdul Rahman Tmeizi, director of public relations at Idhna Municipality, said that the Israeli occupation authorities and colonists are seeking to impose a new geographical reality in the western part of the Hebron district through a colonial plan targeting a road extending for approximately eight kilometers.
He said the planned route begins at bypass road No. 35 in the Farsh al-Hawa area, passes through the lands of Idhna, Khirbet Suba and the village of al-Kum, and reaches the Tarusa area, where Israel recently began establishing a colony on the area's highest hill.
