GAZA, December 7, 2024 (WAFA) – An Israeli airstrike on Tuffah neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, Saturday evening killed three Palestinians and injured others.
Israeli fighter jets targeted a house near Shawwa Square in the neighbourhood, claiming the lives of three civilians and injuring others.
They also pounded a residential compound near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Strip.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Hospital, Hussam Abu Safia, said that the hospital was hit by over 100 shells, missiles and drone-fired bombs.
He described the situation in the western part of the hospital building as appalling after the operating rooms, roofs, yards and windows of newborn intensive care units were affected by the Israeli missiles.
He added that this Israeli aggression resulted in three casualties in the hospital and caused damage to the water tanks, oxygen generators, water pumps and fuel tanks, with a fuel tank catching fire.
He called for the immediate cessation of the Israeli aggression against the hospital.
Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafah, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.
Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 44,664 Palestinians and injuring 105,976 others.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
