Over 28 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in West Bank, including mother of two slain Palestinians

RAMALLAH, December, 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained at least 28 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank between last night and this morning, including children and former prisoners.

According to the Palestinian Authority's Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society, the detentions were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron and Nablus.

Meanwhile, the other detentions took place in the governorates of  of Ramallah, Tulkarm, Tubas, and Jerusalem.

Among the detainees was the mother of two slain Palestinians from Tulkarm, a university student from Nablus, and a wounded individual who was kidnapped by special forces from the Arab Specialized Hospital in Nablus.

The raids were accompanied by assaults, threats against the detainees and their families, as well as widespread destruction and vandalism of homes.

Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in October 2023, more than 11,900 Palestinians have been detained from the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The exact number of detainees from Gaza is still difficult to determine due to the ongoing use of enforced disappearances by Israeli forces, with estimates suggesting thousands of arrests.
