Slain Palestinian Samer Mohammed Hussain, 46.

SALFIT, November 29, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Friday shot and injured a Palestinian man in the village of Harris, north of Salfit, following an alleged shooting attack against a bus carrying colonists.

The General Authority of Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of Health that the man, who was identified as Samer Mohammed Hussain, 46, succumbed to his critical wounds.

Local sources and eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces opened fire at a man - a father of five - south of the village of Harris, resulting in his injury, after he allegedly carried out a shooting attack targeting a bus carrying colonists, which was en route to an illegal colony in the northern West Bank. Reports indicate that several people on the bus were injured in the alleged attack.

The injured youth was left bleeding on the ground until he succumbed to his wounds. According to sources, Israeli forces prevented ambulance crews from providing him with medical assistance, causing him to bleed to death.

Following the alleged attack, Israeli forces closed the Iron Gate on the main road leading to the western villages of the Salfit governorate.

The killing of Hussain has raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 797, including 168 children, according to the Ministry of Health.
