Israeli colonists storm village in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, November 27, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists Wednesday evening stormed Khirbet Humsa at-Tahta village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to a human rights activist.

Aref Daraghmeh said that colonists barged their way into the village, took photos of the dwellings and inspected the residents’ ID cards.

Earlier today, the occupation forces seized solar energy system along with a trailer and ransacked several dwellings in the village.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 700,000 Israeli colonists living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
