TULKARM, November 23, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Saturday intensified their all-day raid in Kafr Abbush village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation forces deployed additional troops and military vehicles to the village, conducting foot patrols in the main and secondary raids as well as in agricultural lands and large-scale sweeping operations.
In the course of the raid, the soldiers stormed dozens of houses, ransacking them, interrogating the occupants and turning many houses into military outposts.
They detained two villagers, including a 16-year-old teen after breaking into and searching their houses.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces barged their way into Kafr Zibad, a village south of Tulkarm, carrying out large-scale sweeping operations of streets and agricultural land, at a time when foot and vehicle patrols were deployed along the main street of the al-Kafriyat villages.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
