Israeli airstrikes on Gaza leave further casualties among innocent civilians

GAZA, November 22, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli airstrikes in Gaza last night resulted in the murder of at least two civilians and left others wounded, as the ongoing genocide in the region continues for the 14th consecutive month.

Local sources reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the home of the Al-Daya family in the Sabra neighborhood, located south of Gaza City. Emergency teams rushed to the scene to rescue those trapped under the rubble, with fears that more victims may be buried.

In addition, several medical staff members were injured in an Israeli attack on the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. Drones launched by the Israeli military dropped bombs on the hospital grounds, with reports indicating that some of the injuries are severe.

Medical sources at the hospital confirmed that the attack damaged the hospital's power generator, which is crucial for the facility’s operation. The generator is the only one serving the entire hospital, and with the ongoing Israeli blockade, it is impossible to repair the damage.

Israeli drones also fired on remaining homes in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, although no casualties have been reported so far.

In central Gaza, five Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an airstrike that hit the home of the Al-Hour family in the northern part of the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Meanwhile, in the southern Gaza area, local sources reported that Israeli forces demolished several homes near Rafah, further adding to the destruction in the region.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 44,056 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 104,268 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
