JENIN, November 19, 2024 (WAFA) - At least six Palestinians Tuesday were injured by Israeli forces’ fire in Jenin refugee camp during their ongoing military offensive that began in the early morning hours today against both the camp and the city.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams attended to a Palestinian injured by live fire in the thigh and three others wounded by shrapnel from a drone-fired bomb targeting residents in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
Ambulance teams transported two other people who were injured by Israeli forces’ live bullets in Jenin refugee camp. PRCS said its teams managed to transport the injured from the Jenin refugee camp after the occupation forces attacked the crew and seized their mobile phones.
According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli forces set fire to three houses within the camp and a commercial center at the camp's entrance, which was fully engulfed in flames before civil defense teams managed to extinguish the fire. While civil defense teams managed to reach two houses to control the flames, they were prevented by Israeli forces from accessing the third house.
Hazim Masaroah, a Red Crescent ambulance officer, stated that their crews, working with civil defense teams, responded to a distress call from a family in the Jenin camp and evacuated them after a fire broke out in their home.
Israeli forces also cut off electricity and destroyed waterlines throughout the camp by bulldozing roads and damaging infrastructure.
