GAZA, November 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured tonight in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a home west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to medical sources, at least two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Abu Armana family near Al-Sawarha School, west of the camp.
In a related development, the Israeli occupation military continued its destruction of buildings in the western part of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli artillery also shelled the town of Beit Lahia in the north of the Strip, while heavy airstrikes targeted the northwestern parts of the enclave, causing widespread damage.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 43,799 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 103,601 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
