GAZA, November 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians were killed and several others were injured today in multiple Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
In Rafah, south of the territory, five civilians were killed and others injured when an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of citizens east of the city. The strike left several others wounded, with rescue teams working to recover the injured from the site.
In a separate attack, a child died from wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawassi area, west of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. The area has seen frequent bombardment as Israel continues its military offensive.
Additionally, a Palestinian man was killed in an artillery shelling that targeted citizens near the Islamic Complex Mosque in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. The shelling caused widespread damage to homes and infrastructure in the area.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 43,799 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 103,601 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
