TEL AVIV, November 14, 2024 (WAFA) – In light of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, and the escalating attacks by the occupation forces and colonists in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the incitement of officials in the occupation government to annex the West Bank to Israel has also escalated, the latest of which was the statements of the Minister of Settlement Orit Strook, calling for the continuation of the occupation of the Gaza Strip for a "very long time", and the annexation of the West Bank.
Strook, from the far-right "Jewish Power" party, told the Ynet news website on Thursday, "I do not think that there should be a strategy for exiting the Gaza Strip.
She added: "We set very clear goals for this war, and when we set the goals of the war, it is a kind of contract between the government and the soldiers and their families." She renewed her and her party's opposition to reaching an agreement for a prisoner exchange and a ceasefire in Gaza.
Regarding the West Bank, the Israeli Minister of Settlement said that her office is working at full speed in preparation for the implementation of sovereignty, which is the annexation of the occupied West Bank.
"I do not want to draw anything precise at the moment. All people should enjoy human rights, but the national right to the land will belong only to the people of Israel. There should be no Palestinian state," she said.
The Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said during talks in recent days that “the possibility of presenting the plan to annex large areas of the West Bank must be returned to Israel.”
