TULKARM, November 13, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Wednesday evening besieged a Palestinian house in the Ezbet al-Jarad suburb, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to WAFA correspondent.
She said that Israeli occupation forces barged their way into the city from its western entrance at a time when special forces were detected in the suburb as they continued to besiege a house there.
This came as additional military reinforcements were dispatched to the vicinity of the house, simultaneously while drones hovered above the area at a high altitude.
Local sources said that the occupation soldiers ordered those inside the house via loudspeakers to surrender amidst heavy gunfire.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
