Colonists place caravan on Palestinian land south of Nablus, a prelude to taking over the land

NABLUS, November 8, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists Friday placed a caravan on Palestinian land in Jaloud village to the south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, in an apparent prelude to taking over the land, according to local sources.

Sources said that colonists placed a caravan on a mountain in Jaloud village, intending to seize the area for the benefit of establishing a new illegal colony and expanding neighboring ones.

Although common, colonists’ attacks and violence against Palestinians have significantly escalated since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, driven by many Israeli officials' statements inciting violence and hatred.

The widespread violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians, including the destruction of homes and property, has drawn significant international condemnation.

Several countries have imposed sanctions on colonists accused of committing violent acts against Palestinians in the West Bank.
