Over 12 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in the West Bank

RAMALLAH, November, 11, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have detained at least 12 Palestinians from the West Bank since last night, including a child and former prisoners, according to prisoner advocacy organizations.

The Palestinian Authority’s Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees and the Prisoners' Society reported in a joint statement that the detentions occurred in the provinces of Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem, Ramallah, and Qalqilya.

Additionally, Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale incursion into the al-Fawwar camp south of Hebron yesterday, conducting field interrogations of dozens of citizens who were later released, while also damaging and vandalizing homes.

The statement added that since the start of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in October 2023, a total of 11,500 Palestinians have been detained by the occupation authorities from the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The ongoing detention campaigns in the West Bank are characterized by unprecedented levels of mistreatment and torture of detainees and their families, affecting not only the young but also the sick, injured, and elderly.
