BEIRUT, October 27, 2024 (WAFA) – Several Lebanese citizens have been killed and injured over the last few hours as the Israeli occupation forces continue their assault on various regions across Lebanon, resulting in widespread destruction of buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.

In the south of the country, local sources reported that at least nine individuals were killed, with many others injured due to airstrikes targeting several towns and villages in the region.

Israeli warplanes and artillery bombarded towns including Deir Mimmas, Barachit, Al-Tiri, Bint Jbeil, Ainatha, Shahabiya, Saltaniyya, Shaqra, Safad al-Batikh, Al-Jmeijma, Haris, Tabnin, Aytroun, Kounin, and many others throughout the region.

Additionally, heavy airstrikes were launched last night on areas such as Al-Jamous, Sfir, Hadath, Burj al-Barajneh, San Terez, and Haret Hreik in the Dahieh district of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

Meantime, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that the toll from the Israeli aggression on the country has reached 2,653 fatalities and 12,360 injured since October 2023.
