GAZA, October 20, 2024 (WAFA) – Eight Palestinians were killed on Sunday in a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli occupation forces in different locations throughout the Gaza Strip, as the Israeli genocidal onslaught on the region continues for the 13th month.
Local sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted a group of individuals in the al-Mawasi region, west of Khan Younis, resulting in the murder of two Palestinians.
Additionally, another drone strike hit the Khirbet al-Adas area, east of Rafah, leading to the murder of two more individuals.
In a separate attack, Israeli fighter jets launched an airstrike on the al-Saftawi area, northeast of Gaza City, killing one person and injuring several others.
Meantime, three civilians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Eyewitnesses reported that the strike hit a residential building, leading to the fatalities and various injuries among residents.
Throughout the night and into the early hours of Sunday, Israeli forces intensified their bombardment of Jabalia refugee camp and surrounding areas, causing widespread destruction and panic among the local population.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in at least 42,519 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 99,637 individuals sustaining injuries, the majority of whom are women and children.
Thousands are also feared dead under the rubble of destroyed structures across the war-torn enclave, with civil defense teams and emergency services unable to reach several areas due to safety concerns amid the indiscriminate Israeli attacks.
