GAZA, October 19, 2024 (WAFA) – A child was killed and several others were injured this evening due to artillery shelling by Israeli occupation forces west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Local sources reported that the occupation's artillery fired multiple shells, resulting in the murder of the child and injuries to several citizens.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces demolished several homes in the Al-Faluja area, west of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, while Israeli warplanes conducted numerous airstrikes, the latest targeting the Old Gaza Road in the nearby town of Jabalia.
Israeli warplanes also struck agricultural land near the Al-Halawa area in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
In the meantime, Israeli occupation forces have intensified their ethnic cleansing operations in northern Gaza, committing horrific massacres that have resulted in the murder of dozens of civilians, in addition to targeting hospitals and medical teams.
This escalation coincides with bombardments of homes and shelters, complete demolition and burning of entire neighborhoods, and the obstruction of food and water supplies to the area, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries.
According to local sources and witnesses, emergency and civil defense teams are facing severe operational challenges due to ongoing Israeli attacks and restrictions.
Also in Jabalia, the Israeli army has surrounded refugee shelters with a large number of military vehicles, subjecting women and children to security checks and intimidation before allowing them to leave the shelters, while detaining several men and boys.
