SALFIT, October 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Tuesday stormed and wreaked havoc inside a house in the town of Deir Ballut, west of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation forces broke into a house under construction in the northern section of the town, wreaking havoc and destruction inside.
They added that the gun-toting soldiers held a concrete mixer that arrived at the construction side and chased workers.
Meanwhile, a convoy of the occupation forces’ vehicles barged their way into the Madama village, south of Nablus, triggering confrontations, which saw the soldiers firing barrages of concussion grenades towards local young protestors.
The occupation army also broke into the outskirts of the Tell village, while simultaneously firing barrages of teargas canisters towards the villagers’ houses.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
