NABLUS, October 4, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces forcibly expelled farmers from their lands in the villages of Huwara, south of Nablus, and Deir Sharaf, to the west, on Friday afternoon.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers, along with a guard from the settlement of Yitzhar, confronted farmers as they harvested olives in their fields close to residential areas in Huwara. The farmers were reportedly threatened with weapons and ordered to leave their land.
Additional reports indicated that similar incidents occurred in Deir Sharaf, west of Nablus, where Israeli troops also expelled farmers from their olive groves during the harvest.
The olive harvest season is one of the most important seasons for thousands of Palestinian families, many of whom make their living from this harvest.
