Israeli shelling of town in northern Gaza results in killing of civilian, injury of others

GAZA, September 29, 2024 (WAFA) - A civilian was killed and others were wounded on Sunday afternoon, in the Israeli bombing of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, the occupation’s artillery intensively targeted scattered areas in the town of Beit Lahiya, which led to the killing of a civilian and the injury of several others.

The occupation warplanes also shelled at day today the vicinity of the Kamal Adwan hospital in the Jabalia refugee camp, as well as the central Nuseirat refugee camp and the al-Shati (Beach) camp, resulting in the killing of three civilians.

The number of civilians killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 2023, has so far risen to 41,586, mostly children and women. The number of people injured has reached 96,210.

Thousands of victims remain buried under the rubble, as ambulance and rescue crews face tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the relentless Israeli shelling and massive amount of debris.
