BRUSSELS, Friday, July 19, 2024 (WAFA) - Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has urged the Israeli government to release the withheld tax revenues it collects on behalf of the Palestinian Authority.
"The urgency to step up our support to the Palestinian Authority has never been so high. The EU stands by its word by delivering a timely financial package to the PA," said Borrell in a post on his X account.
"But needs are immense: we call again on Israel to urgently release all tax revenues."
